The Department of Chemistry is primarily located in a building measuring 30.000 sq.ft. containing a good number of lecture halls, laboratories for the P.G. classes and Research labs. An amount of Rs. 75 lacs was sanctioned by the State Governement for the construction of a new building to accomidate 5 year integrate M.Sc. Chemistry course. The foundation stone for this building was laid by honourable minister HRD, New Delhi Mrs. D. Purandareshwari on 31st Jan 2008. the Department has all required equipment, apparatus and infrastructure facilities for the smooth and efficient conduct of the P.G., M.Phil and research Programmes. The department is equipped with an imported Shimadzu UV-VIS spectrophotometer, UV-2401 PC with integrating sphere attachment. The labs have rotary vaccum evaporators and other equipment required for research. The research activity is mainly supported by the facilities available in the Central Instrumentation Centre.
