The department of geology is established in the year 1989 with a built-up area of 5200 sq.ft in the university college campus and is currently headed by Dr.K.David. The department have academic, administrative and financial autonomy.
The department is equipped with advance facilities such as Field Survey Equipment, Geological Collections and Museum, Resistivity meters, Fluoride meter, Sieve Shakers, Ore microscope, Spectrophotomer, Flamephotometer, Computer, Rare equipments-GIS Software etc.
